David Benedict, who plays mandolin for a group called Mile Twelve also hosts a weekly program called Mandolin Mondays on Mandolin Cafe's YouTube channel contacted Jimmy about participating in the series. Its been running for like, 150 consecutive weeks and features mandolin players of various genres doing solo videos. Jimmy's been pretty much retired for almost 2 years but he decided to give it a shot. David's guidelines were to do a simple video with minimal to no editing using a cell phone or GoPro. Luckily, Stuart Martin was available with his new GoPro and did a great job of capturing Jimmy's performance of a work in progress dedicated to his grandson, Elias. The video was posted March 11th and will continue to be availalbe indefinitly on the Mandolin Cafe's YouTube channel. Again, here's the link:
